A thing that occured to me today is how Apple actually changed my family. For the better.
Having iPhones, iPod touches and iPads culminated to a pool of communication, entertainment and a sense of togetherness that really brought us closer.
Take the iPod touch — an iPhone without shitarsed phone contracts — I now can message anyone in the family in an instant. The iPod touch means you can carry it around anywhere in the house and the lower vicinity without having to worry about phonecalls interrupting you. It’s like hitting the “Avengers, Assemble!” button.
For me it’s great because phone carrying permits end at the 3rd floor here and with the iPod touch and the iPad I’m never disconnected from friends and family. If some shit breaks loose again, I’m always just a tap away.
Today we had a quick gathering. My brother had this beautiful nature video on Australia (where half of my fam lives) in HD on his iPhone 4s so he just AirPlayed it to Dad’s AppleTV and we watched it together on the big screen.
The elders in my family aren’t really gamers to say the least. Guess what, we did some rounds of Real Racing 2 together, split screen via iPod touches and an iPhone 4s and had a blast, together.
I’m not realy calling man-made objects magical, but if you look at magic, isn’t it man-made too?
